DESIGN PROCESS TWO: REDESIGN WIKIPEDIA

January 13, 2017 in IID

Using a grid when designing is a great way to ensure that everything lines up how it should and it’s also an easy way to manipulate / change around a design simply. Each part of the design will have it’s own place on the grid so when the grid changes so does the design, bit all the original elements are still there. Here I have drawn up two simple colour coded grids that include all the main elements of a Wikipedia page to get started:

I will use the grid technique when drawing out my designs and keep it in mind when actually creating the webpage with css and html.
